Have you ever delayed taking a step because you felt like you needed all the answers first?

I know I have.

It’s easy to believe we have to wait until the timing feels perfect, our confidence is stronger, or our plans are completely mapped out before we move. But if I’ve learned anything, it’s this:

“God rarely reveals the entire journey before asking us to take the first step.”

Faith isn’t about seeing the whole staircase. It’s about trusting the One who built it.

There have been moments in my life when I wanted certainty before obedience. I wanted guarantees before movement. But looking back, the greatest blessings in my life came after I decided to trust God anyway.

Maybe you’re waiting for the perfect opportunity.
Maybe you’re afraid of making the wrong decision.
Maybe you’ve convinced yourself you’re not ready.

What if “ready” isn’t the requirement?

What if God is simply asking you to trust Him with today’s step?

You don’t need to know everything about tomorrow to be faithful today.

One obedient step can change the direction of your life.

So today, stop waiting for perfect conditions. Pray. Trust. Move forward. Let God guide the rest.

He has never needed your perfection to accomplish His purpose.

He only asks for your willingness.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)

Reflection

What’s one step you’ve been putting off because you’ve been waiting to feel ready?

Write it down. Pray over it. Then ask God to give you the courage to take that first step.

You might be surprised by what He does on the other side of your obedience.

Faith doesn’t require perfect clarity. It requires daily trust.
